Maintenance Planning Analyst
Are you ready to coordinate and lead within the engineering function? As a Maintenance Planning Analyst, you'll act as a vital link between customers and the engineering department, driving planning excellence in your area. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring seamless operations and effective resource allocation.
Accountabilities:
- Produce detailed plans of engineering activities, ensuring all required elements are included.
- Engage with production teams to create a comprehensive manufacturing and maintenance plan, aligning it with key procedures like Maintenance Excellence and accounting for major production outages.
- Ensure effective coordination of external contractor or supplier work with internal manufacturing and maintenance plans.
- Allocate internal and external resources appropriately for both planned and unplanned activities and take necessary actions to reschedule activities when required.
- Collaborate with external suppliers to identify cost-effective material solutions, leveraging proficient knowledge of engineering systems and requirements.
- Contribute to engineering and maintenance improvement initiatives through the application of Manufacturing Extension Partnership principles.
- Measure planning effectiveness regularly to ensure compliance with engineering standards and objectives.
- Provide expert training, guidance, and coaching to less experienced colleagues and new team members.
- Plan maintenance activities by coordinating with customers and managing line availability to meet operational needs.
- Identify safety, health, and environmental reviews for work orders and oversee the approval process.
- Monitor maintenance backlog, prioritize work orders based on criticality, and co-manage performance metrics for assigned areas.
- Use CMMS tools effectively for continuous improvement in maintenance planning and execution.
- Scope maintenance work orders comprehensively, identifying necessary materials and coordinating their purchase, delivery, and staging.
- Collaborate with Procurement for material availability, expediting orders, and managing service contracts for repairs and site services.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in CMMS work orders and preventive maintenance modules, ensuring compliance with audit and internal requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts by using Lean and Reliability principles, analyzing maintenance processes, and proposing cross-functional advancements.
- Integrate CMMS into SAP and ensure the accuracy and reliability of master data while adapting to business process changes.
- Retain technical maintenance documents, including preventive and corrective maintenance work orders, to comply with company standards and retention policies.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- HS Diploma/GED/Military Experience
- 0 to 5 yrs of experience in maintenance, facilities or bio pharma
- Proficient with cGMP maintenance, facilities or planner functions; Skilled in CMMS, Microsoft Office Suite, and Coupa
- Strong working knowledge of cGMPs and GLS related to maintenance processes and documentation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Exceptional attention to detail for high accuracy and completeness
- Effective organizational, administrative, and time-management abilities; Demonstrated ability to make sound business decisions and exercise good judgment
- Technical proficiency in engineering principles and specific operational areas; Familiar with procedures ensuring compliance with GXP and Safety, Health, and Environment standards
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Formal training in CMMS system
- Comprehensive understanding of building facilities management and manufacturing operations
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
